Across comics, TV shows and massive movies, Marvel has infiltrated every facet of geek culture. It’s no surprise, then, that LEGO have been churning out loving brick-based tributes to the Marvel superhero stable for years. It’s a match made in heaven, really.
A LEGO tie-in range comes out to match each new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, allowing fans to rebuild their favourite scenes and bring those primary-coloured big screen heroes into their front rooms. What fun!
Including many of these movie kits, and a few others, here’s a selection of awesome LEGO Marvel sets you can buy on Amazon right this second. If you fancy clicking on a few of the links, which supports our site a bit, you’d make us very happy…
The Sanctum Sanctorum
This beauty was released around the same time as Doctor Strange, allowing fans to bring home one of the movie’s most iconic locales: the Sanctum Sanctorum itself. You also get LEGO Minifigures of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Tilda Swinton’s Ancient One and Mads Mikkelsen’s Mordo.
It’s a smaller set at just 358 pieces, and it’s very reasonably priced at £21.99. It’s also available for Amazon Prime next day delivery. Place your order now, if you like.
Civil War Airport Battle
This Captain America: Civil War set – which recreates the epic airport battle from the Russo brothers’ sensational sophomore Marvel movie – is significantly bigger, weighing in at 807 pieces and boasting six Minifigures. Captain America, The Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, War Machine and Agent 13 are all included, as are little and large Scott Lang figures. Plus you get all the fun of building one of 2016’s most memorable movie scenes.
You can buy the Airport Battle from Amazon now for £54.99. It’s available for Prime next-day delivery, so you could have it delivered tomorrow if you get your order in early enough.
The Milano Vs The Abilisk
Okay, this one looks particularly gorgeous. This Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 kit lets you piece together Peter Quill’s iconic Milano spaceship, and battle it off against the big pink beasty from the trailers. As well as the lovely-looking ship and the tentacled terror, you also get Minifigures of Star-Lord, Gamora, Nebula and Drax, plus a Baby Groot figure.
The kit consists of 460 pieces, and it’s yours from Amazon (with Prime delivery) for bang on £40. My oh my, that is very tempting. You can place your order here.
Cor blimey, this one’s a whopper. 2,996 pieces and 12 microfigures (including Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Captain America) make up this loving recreation of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier from the Avengers movies. It’s 85cm long and 45cm wide, so you’d need to clear a fair area of shelf space to show it off.
Sadly, as it’s an older set and a large one, the price is pretty steep. At the time of writing, you can buy the SHIELD Helicarrier from Amazon for £319.72 plus delivery costs.
Another Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 set, here. With this one you get the Ravager Taserface, a very cute Rocket Raccoon and a Mantis Minifigure, as well as a cool little spaceship, a tree, and a cannon. It’s another smaller set, consisted of 197 pieces and priced at £19.99 on Amazon. Again, it’s got Prime next-day delivery. You can buy it right now by following this link.
Hulkbuster Vs Hulk
Avengers: Age Of Ultron may not have won our hearts quite as much as Joss Whedon’s first superhero team-up movie, but one sequence in particular blew our socks off: the massive showdown between Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Robert Downey Jnr’s Iron Man. For just £37.97 (including Prime delivery) you can now recreate that thumping fight scene in the comfort of your own home.
If you do buy the Hulkbuster kit, you’ll find that it’s made up of 248 pieces and comes with a Hulk figure and Minifigures of Iron Man, Scarlet Witch and Ultron.
Rhino And Sandman Super Villain Team-Up
LEGO also makes Marvel kits that aren’t based on the movies, and some of them are really great. Take this Ultimate Spider-Man set, for example, which includes Sandman and Rhino (complete with their villainous paraphernalia), a super-jumping Spidey in his classic costume, and a different version of Spidey in his Iron Spider garb.
This 386-piece set is available for £44.85 from Amazon, which includes Prime delivery. Click here to go to the product page.
Hulk Vs Red Hulk
Why would Hulks need cars? Would they even be able to drive them? And who would build them anyway? These are exacly the sort of questions you could ponder while building this 375-piece ‘Hulk Vs Red Hulk’ set, which is currently available on Amazon for £48.60 and eligible for Prime delivery. What it lacks in logic, it more than makes up for in coolness.
It contains big figures of the Hulk and the Red Hulk, and normal-sized Minifigures of She-Hulk and Red She-Hulk. The link to buy it is here.
Captain America Jet Pursuit
This is a brilliantly barmy set, featuring Captain America in a plane with his name on it being attacked Ms Marvel (aka Kamala Khan, whose Minifigure has stretchy arms) and a character named Super-Adaptoid (whose power, in the comics comics, is to mimic other people’s abilities. Hence why he looks like an Iron Man with wings in this set).
This baffling box of joy, which is available through Prime, costs just £19.97. It’s made up 160 pieces. As you might have guessed, it’s not linked to any of the movies, as much as we’d love to see this scene on screen.
Escape From Knowhere
Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel’s Groot and Karen Gillan’s Nebula are included in this 433 piece ‘Escape From Knowhere’ kit, which came out as part of the Guardians Of The Galaxy range back in 2014.
You can buy it from Amazon now for £58.95, which includes Prime delivery. If you got this and one of the Vol. 2 kits, you could have both Groot sizes in your collection. Who wouldn’t want that?!
Carnage’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Attack
Look! It’s the fan favourite Spidey villain Carnage (aka the crazed killer Cletus Kasady, crossed with an alien symbiote), now in LEGO form! He’s attacking a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter while a black-suited Spider-Man flaps around a bit.
This is a great little set, weighing in at just 97 pieces. It’s yours for £16.90 through Amazon, and if you’ve got Prime it could be with you very soon. Click here to go to the product page.
Ant-Man Final Battle
With this 183-piece Ant-Man tie-in set you get minifigures of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym and Corey Stoll’s Yellowjacket, as well as giant flying ant with moving wings. On top of that, you also get some cute little LEGO ants.
You can buy this one now for £55.98. For extra movie-riffing fun, set it up next to a Thomas The Tank Engine set.
Detroit Steel Strikes
This one is brilliant. Not only have you got Phil Coulson and the flying car, Lola, from Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., but you’ve also got Iron Man fighting a big blue robotically-enhanced vilain names Detroit Steel. It’s a thing of beauty, and it could be yours for £29.47 via Amazon. It’s on Prime, too, and it’s made up of 377 pieces. Head over to the product prage now.
Allow us just one more Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 kit, please. This is another great-looking one, which sees Yondu, tiny Groot and Star-Lord (everyone needs a LEGO Chris Pratt in their life, right?) in a bust-up with Ayesha, the golden woman from the trailers played by Elizabeth Debicki.
For just £29.99 you get two cool ships, one of which has a spring-loaded missile. It’s made up of 323 pieces, and you can order it (with Prime next-day delivery) by heading over to Amazon now.
Crossbones’ Hazard Heist
Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Anthony Mackie’s Falcon take on Frank Grillo’s Crossbones, in LEGO form, in this official Captain America: Civil War kit. Widow has a bike, Falcon has his Redwing drone, and Crossbones has a jeep and a flame-thrower thingy. All this fun – which takes precisely 179 pieces to build – could be yours for £18.99, if you head to Amazon now and buy it.
Avenjet Space Mission
Are you fed up of waiting for the cinematic Avengers to finally fight Thanos? If so, now’s the time to step in and build the damn thing for yourself. This 523-piece set imagines an aerial battle between Josh Brolin’s purple space bastard and Earth’s mightiest heroes, here represented by Iron Man, Captain America and Captain Marvel. There’s also a chap named Hyperion included.
The ‘Avenjet’ is the main thing you actually have to build, and it houses a smaller mini-jet within its innards. The whole thing is currently being sold on Amazon for £45.86. You can click here to visit the product page.
And finally, a real beauty. This LEGO version of the Avengers tower (currently priced at £79.95) is made up of 515 pieces, and it comes with Minifigures of Iron Man, Thor and Ultron, as well as two of the Iron Legion robots. Yep, this is another example of a great LEGO kit coming out of Joss Whedon’s second and less-well-received Avengers movie, Age Of Ultron.
If you want to order this set, you can click this link to head to the Amazon product page. Let’s face it: most of us would love to have a snazzy Avengers Tower in pride of place on one of our shelves. That would impress everyone who came over, right?
And there you have it: those were 17 lovely Marvel LEGO kits that you can buy on Amazon right now. None of them are too pricey either, compared to some of the other official licensed sets on the market.
