Jurassic World 2 filming in Slough this week

Production on Jurassic World 2 is going to a particularly exotic location this week, with the Jurassic Outpost site reporting that the dino-sequel is off to Slough. Businesses in and around the Langley Business Centre in the area have been receiving letters advising them that production on ‘Ancient Futures’ will be taking place on the 23rd of February. Ancient Futures is the production name for the Jurassic World sequel.

With a due tip of the hat to Jurassic Outpost for finding this particular pic, here’s what Langley Business Centre looks like…

It’s one day of filming that’s initially planned, with another 11 days of shooting there between now and the end of June.

Last week, producer Frank Marshall posted the following to his Twitter account…

The most recent addition to the cast is none other than Silence Of The Lambs’ Ted Levine – he of the very distinctive voice that we try not to associate with pure terror and usually fail miserably at.

Levine joins Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Justice Smith and returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the dinosaur-heavy sequel to Jurassic World, which remains the fourth highest grossing film of all time, believe it or weep.

Bayona has previously teased the ramping up towards production on his Twitter account. Take a look…

More news as we have it. In the meantime, flick over to Page 2 of our own mini Jurassic World visitor centre, where it is much less likely you will be eaten alive.

Jurassic World 2 release date

It’s been confirmed that this time around, the UK will be getting the film first. Universal has revealed that Jurassic World 2 will be in UK cinemas on Thursday June 7th, 2018 – over two weeks ahead of the US release.
